So, I haven't updated this in a while, so I thought I'd at least post something. Fact is, I haven't been in much of a vidding mood lately. I've actually got one that I started on a while ago and mean to finish at some point. Another HP vid, about Voldemort this time. I'm using a Ministry of Magic song called "Ascendio", which is so clearly about Harry, but it has the line "Today I met a man whose name was Albus. He told me that I was more than a boy. He said I could learn to be a wizard." And, of course, Hagrid was the one to tell Harry that, not Dumbledore. But ol' DD did tell Tom Riddle. So there ya go. This is also my first attempt to use completely unrelated movies to sort of fill in the gaps, to represent scenes that weren't filmed, or even to speculate scenes that may or may not have happened (or simply to show things that may have been filmed, but the movie hasn't been released yet, so I don't know about them). It's an interesting challenge.

So, I finally got around to re-editing one of my earliest vids to get rid of the watermark and black bars.  While I was in there messing around, I decided to throw some effects in.   
Man, it's too bad there are so few characters who can justifiably be vidded to Christian songs.  It's difficult to pull off without being cheesy or completely out of place.

I recently won some free web space from the wonderful Gater, but have yet to figure out how to actually use it. I've only ever used free upload sites before, so having my own allotted space is super-cool. Hopefully I can get my vids up there soon.

Quick update since fileden has apparently changed so that one must register with all sorts of personal information that I didn't feel like sharing...I've put my vids up on filefront now. This has the advantage of being able to preview the vid in a youtube kind of way and then if you like it, downloading it easily from the same page (of course, the streaming version is much lower quality, as it's smaller and stretches the picture some, but it's good enough to let you know if you like the vid enough to download). New vid. Humor, featuring most of the main Atlantis peeps. The song had some lines that I thought were incredibly appropriate to Sheppard, so then I simply had to figure out how to get the rest to make sense. Also, I cheated by cutting out a lot of music with no words (the song would be about twice as long otherwise, and I just don't have that kind of time). I really don't know what happened with the end, but it kind of took a weird turn where I decided to have a dialogue with McKay. So, just a sort of quick whim that ended up taking far longer than it should have. (I also learned to avoid vids that take so many episodes unless I know exactly what clips I want and can just snip those out, or get an external hard drive. My computer simply isn't big enough to put every episode of Atlantis on it at once.)
